CORFE CASTLE TO KINGSTON AND RETURN

Meet and start at Corfe Castle NT car park. Early start for parking during holiday season. Walk to Kingston via paths west of Kingston Hill, returning via paths to east of Kingston Hill. Can be muddy if recent rain, several stiles, gentle slopes - none steep. About 250 yards only of walking along roads in Corfe and Kingston. Lots of fine views overlooking Corfe Castle.

Meet and park considerately in road near Hampreston school and church (signposted off B3073). Circular mainly level walk via Longham lakes, Dudsbury and Holmwood. Few Stiles. May be muddy if recent rain.

KINGSTON TO SWYRE HEAD VIA COASTAL PATH

Meet at Houns Tout car park Kingston. Go to coast via The Plantation. West along coastal path to Rope Lake Head returning to Kingston via Swyre Head. Very steep descent when you reach coastal path and steep ascent to Swyre Head (+/- 100 steps). Optional drink in ScottÕs Arms following walk.

NORTH DORSET DAY OUT (Bring Picnic Lunch)

Meet at Stour Meadows Car Park, Blandford. (Just beyond Tesco entrance and behind brewery and industrial park). Circular walk from Blandford to Stourpaine and back, outward along Stour Valley Way via Bryanston and Durweston, returning along the North Dorset Trailway, (the former Somerset and Dorset Railway line). Break for lunch at Stourpaine where optional refreshments are available. (Option of returning by bus from Stourpaine)

Lovely walk, including Nottington, Buckland Ripers and Chickerell. Outstanding scenery. Meet and park at parking area over bridge (Past St Anns church in Radipole lane, turn left at end of road continue around bend to bridge). Share cars if possible, park considerately. A number of stiles.

OSMINGTON MILLS, BOWLEAZE

Meet and park at the Sly Fox Pub (permission given). Walk to Osmington Mills and then join the coastal path to Bowleaze where a break and an ice-cream will be very welcome. Return to Osmington for an optional drink and snack. Mostly flat terrain, a couple of stiles and a little road walking.

Meet at Worth Matravers car park. Go to coastal path via East Man. East to Dancing Ledge returning to Worth via PriestÕs Way. Great coastal views on walk. Steepish ascent as you go inland from Dancing Ledge. Leader will head to Square & Compass after walk. Everyone is welcome to join him.

BRING A PICNIC LUNCH

ALL DAY WALK - ISLE OF WIGHT - YARMOUTH TO FRESHWATER BAY

08:25 no 50 bus to Bournemouth Station. 09:59 train to Lymington Pier, one change. 11:00 ferry to Yarmouth. Eat lunch on board ferry as there will not be any long breaks on the walk. Off peak return £24.70 or £16.30 with railcard. At 12:20 take no 7 bus from stand B at the bus station, four minutes walk from the ferry terminal, to Totland Christ Church arriving at 12:41 and walk back via Tennyson Trail, Freshwater Bay and disused railway track by River Yar back to Yarmouth. Some road walking and a steep climb to Tennyson monument. Return sailing leaves Yarmouth at 17:05 to arrive at Swanage at 20:05.
