Meet ferry road at entrance to Greenlands Farm track, (no 50 bus £3.70). Circular walk via Ower Quay. No steep slopes or stiles. Mostly easy walking on forest tracks, but some muddy or marshy areas possible if recent rain.

WINTERBOURNE KINGSTON CIRCular walk

Meet and park at the Village Hall car park in North St, Winterbourne Kingston (at junction of West St, DT11 9AZ). £1 donation per car towards their costs and toilets will be available. Please car share to keep cars to a minimum. Circular walk via Roman Road, Great Coll Wood and farmland. The walk has no steep climbs, just gradual inclines. Views of open farm land all the time. Likely to be muddy in places.

HARDY MONUMENT AND PORTESHAM DOWNLAND

Park at Hardy Monument. Take inland coast path to Bronkham hill, then south to Corton Hill via Friar Waddon Farm. Continue down to the valley past Waddon House, Portesham farm and Black Down farm. Return uphill to the Monument through woods. Neolithic round barrows and spectacular views to see. Bring a packed lunch due to later start.

KNITSON, NEWTON HEATH AND OWER QUAY

Meet at Dairy Cottage, Knitson. Space for approximately ten cars, so it pays to travel in full cars.  Over Nine Barrow, Kingswood Down. Cross B3351, thro' Kingswood Heath, Newton Heath to Ower Quay. Return via Rempstone Heath, cross dismantled tramway, thro' Rempstone Farm. Cross B3351. Up Brenscombe Hill, along Ailwood Down towards Knitson. Probably muddy, two climbs. Cake and tea and coffee at Dairy Cottage afterwards.

Meet at Black Swan pub in Swanage (159 High Street) for a linear walk along Priests Way and Purbeck Way. Easy walking but some mud to be expected on Purbeck Way. Plan to meet No.40 bus for return to Swanage at approx 1.30pm.

Park & start at Lulworth Primary School. Turn left at Castle Inn into School Lane. Walk behind the village to Bindon Hill &  Mupe Bay. Return via cliff top to PepplerÕs point & along the beach to Lulworth Cove. Moderately steep ups & downs, could be muddy. Parking is limited so please share if possible.

DURDLE DOOR AND SWYRE HEAD

Park at the Holiday park car park. From here go down to Scratchy Bottom then up Swyre Head. At Bat's Head continue to West Bottom then inland to Dagger's gate. Return along the ridge to Newland's Farm and back to the holiday park. Excellent views but steep climbs near cliff edges at times.
