Ballard Down /Swanage
Meet and park by Ballard Stores. Walk to Whitecliff
Farm, taking the lower path along Ballard Down, skirting Godlingston
Hill to Godlingston Manor, crossing to the
allotments and back through Days Park to 10 Moor Road for soup and scones if
wanted. A couple of stiles, 2 ascents - not scary, lovely views of Swanage Bay.

CIRCULAR
Start from Kimmeridge Quarry free Car park. Walk
via Smedmore Hill, Church Knowle,
Cocknowle, Ridgeway Hill, Whiteway Farm and back to quarry CP. Hilly walk,
some stiles. May be muddy in places.

CIRCULAR WALK FROM BOWLEAZE COVE
VIA WHITE HORSE HILL
Park on road to meet by entrance to Waterside Holiday Park. Walk across
farmland to Preston, pass through Osmington village
and up to the ridge, following path above White Horse Hill and then down to
Sutton Poyntz passing the duck pond. Follow path
back to Preston and then through caravan site back to Bowleaze.

KIMMERIDGE, BRADLE & SWYRE
HEAD
Start from the disused Quarry Car Park just before Kimmeridge
for a walk to Bradle Farm, Swyre
Head and down along the ridge of Smedmore Hill. A
few stiles. The climbs are steady, but not very steep, eventually going up to
the highest point in Purbeck at Swyre Head. One
writer has said - ÔI will defend to the death my view that this walk contains
the best views of any in DorsetÕ.

GREENLANDS FARM TO OWER COTTAGE
VIA NEWTON HEATH
Park on road side by Greenlands
Farm bus stop Ferry Road. This is a flat walk on firm tracks across Newton
Heath towards Ower Heath to Ower
Cottage. Stop for coffee on the beach and back through Ower
Farm (harbour views) to Ferry Road. No Hills, Stiles or Muddy paths.

BALLARD DOWN - STUDLAND - OLD
HARRY
Meet in layby opposite Ulwell Holiday Park. Start
by climbing steep steps to the obelisk. Walk along Ballard Down with lovely
views. Descend down to Woodhouse and path to Studland
village. Toilet stop available. Along to Old Harry. Back up Ballard Down and
along lower path to Ullwell. Walk leaders will go
to Village Inn for lunch after walk if any others wish to join them.

Park on road and meet by Kings Arms Pub. Walk to Abbotsbury via SWCP, around
St Catherines hill and back via disused railway
track. Some hills. Option to visit the Kings Arms at end of walk.

NORDEN FARM & EAST CREECH
Park & meet at Church Knowle Village Hall CP.
Circular anti-clockwise walk via Corfe Castle &
Norden Farm. Take the valley path east passing Bucknowle House on route to Corfe
(toilet stop). Then to Norden Farm and on to East
Creech. Short section of road walking, one fairly steep climb
up Knowle Hill and back down to Church Knowle. Some stiles. Mud likely if its been wet !
I will collect £1 from each car driver to contribute to Village Hall running
costs.

Corfe Castle & East Creech
Circular (Primrose Walk)
Meet at Corfe Castle NT car park. Head via Knowle Hill and Ridgeway Hill towards Stonehill
Down. Return via East Creech and Purbeck Way. Great views across heathland to
coast. Fairly steep climb at start and fairly deep mud to be expected on
Purbeck Way. Hope to encounter lots of primroses (hopefully in bloom!!) on
return to Corfe Castle.
