Meet at Steeple Car Park (named Creech Viewpoint on Grange Hill road). Walk through Steepleleaze Farm, along the ridge to Gad Cliff, onto Tyneham Village. Back along Povington Hill to the carpark. Two moderate climbs, and with little road walking.

DURLSTON EVENING WALK - THURSDAY

Park in Bon Accord Road near junction of Russell Avenue for an early evening circular walk to Durlston Country Park visiting Durlston Castle and the Great Globe where we will have a break. Return by the coastal path and country tracks.

Portesham, SWCP, Abbotsbury, South Dorset Ridgeway

Meet by the Kings Arms in Portesham. A lovely walk with outstanding views. A long steep climb out of Abbotsbury, total accumulated height gain 850ft. 4 stiles, one of which goes over a wall. For those who intend to patronise the pub at the end, park in the car park of the Kings Arms, 2 Front St, Portesham, DT3 4ET (permission given), otherwise use nearby on street parking.

THE THROOP LOOP

Meet at start from Kingfisher Barn car park (free), Granby Rd, off of Muscliffe Lane, Bournemouth. Easy 7 mile walk on either side of the River Stour north of Bournemouth. Riverbanks can be muddy. 2 stiles and a noisy 12-15 minute stretch alongside busy road, necessary to cross river and return to start.

Park & start from NT CP at Banks Arms pub. Walk via beaches & dunes to Bramble Bush Bay, Poole Harbour shore to Studland Heath, then back to pub via Agglestone. Virtually flat walking except small climb around Agglestone.

Meet and park at Scotland Farm. A circular walk through flower meadows and along the Hartland Trail. Easy walking, with no steep slopes or stiles. Probably one wet area. Hopefully the flowers will be in bloom so meaning butterflies too. NOTE limited parking please car share.

Worth Matravers & Hill Bottom Circular – Thursday

Meet at Worth Matravers car park. This is a short circular walk taking in Hill Bottom and a small part of coastal path above ChapmanÕs Pool. Return to Worth via Weston Farm. Plan to finish in Square and Compass to take advantage of the long daylight hours. There are a couple of stiles on the walk and also an uphill stretch from Hill Bottom.

Meet at Sheep Pen car park (approx. 1 mile west of Kingston village). Go to Kimmeridge via Swyre Head & coastal path. Return via Smedmore Hill. Long steep steps down to coastal path from Swyre Head and also from coastal path in Kimmeridge. Long uphill stretch from Kimmeridge to return to Kingston. Several stiles on walk and ups/downs on coastal path. Great coastal views.

Meet at Holy Trinity church on Fleet Road (1 mile from junction with B3157 at Chickerell). Park in churchyard beyond church on gravel or on grass up to far end gate (permission given). Parking charge £1 per car, please car share. Mostly level circular walk, including along edge of The Fleet, the Old and New Holy Trinity churches. A few stiles and some road walking. Spectacular views of the Chesil Bank and along the Fleet
