DURLSTON TO DANCING LEDGE CIRCULAR

Meet and start at junction of Newton Road and Bon Accord road Swanage. For car drivers please park considerately in Bon Accord road. Circular walk via Durlston, Dancing Ledge, Anvil Point and return to start. Stiles, mud, exposed and stunning sea and coast views.

Corfe Castle & East Creech Circular (Primrose Walk)

Meet at Corfe Castle NT car park. Head via Knowle Hill and Ridgeway Hill towards Stonehill Down. Return via East Creech and Purbeck Way. Great views across heathland to coast. Fairly steep climb at start and fairly deep mud to be expected on Purbeck Way. Hope to encounter lots of primroses (hopefully in bloom!!) on return to Corfe Castle.

CIRCUIT of CHRISTCHURCH HARBOUR

Park at junction of Wick Lane & Broadlands Ave, at Tuckton/Wick. Later start if heavy traffic from Swanage. Easy level walk via Hengistbury Head (small up/down), Mudeford Quay, Stanpit Marsh and Christchurch. Pub & Cafˇ at picnic stop. No stiles. 2 ferries during walk at total £3 per person. (rescheduled from 6th October 2018 due to bad weather)

KIMMERIDGE CIRCULAR

Meet at Kimmeridge Quarry CP (marked on maps) for a walk along the ridge and ranges to Tyneham Cap, down to the coast path to Broad Bench, along to Kimmeridge village with a nice short climb back to the CP. An undulating walk with a steepish descent to the coast path, a couple of stiles and fantastic views. One possible muddy patch.

BALLARD DOWN AND OLD HARRY

Meet at Ballard Stores (North Swanage) for a circular walk, through Ballard Estate, going across the grass to Shep's Hollow steps and up to Ballard Down, on to Old Harry and return via Whitecliffe Farm. There are a couple of steep climbs.

BROWNSEA ISLAND

Meet near Brownsea Ferry kiosk by Sandbanks Ferry unloading point at 10:15. Catch 10:30 boat to Brownsea Island for circular walk round the island stopping for a picnic lunch at the Pottery pier. Possible snack at end of walk at NT cafe. Ferry £7 (or £6.50 if there are more than 15 of us). Brownsea Island landing fee £8.40 with gift aid or £7.50 standard. Free to NT members.

CORFE CASTLE TO KINGSTON AND RETURN

Meet and start at Corfe Castle NT car park. Walk to Kingston via paths east of Kingston Hill, returning via paths to west of Kingston Hill. Can be muddy if recent rain, several stiles, gentle slopes - none steep. About 250 yards only of walking along roads in Corfe and Kingston. Lots of fine views overlooking Corfe. Hope to see lots of bluebells on Corfe Common.

Grange Arch, and Steepleleaze Farm

Meet at Kimmeridge Quarry carpark. Up road heading for Hyde Wood and Whiteway Farm. Climb up on to ridge for coffee break at Creech Arch. Onto Creech viewpoint and down to Steepleleaze Farm and back to carpark. Two moderate climbs with little road walking. At least seven stiles.
