Park considerately at Sandford CE Primary School off of roundabout (Woodlands Drive - parking available to left or right of roundabout by or opposite school). Gore Hill and Heath to Sherford returning via Organford, St Martin's Hill & Holton Heath Nature Reserve. Woodland tracks. No stiles.

ARNE NATURE RESERVE

Park in RSPB car park (free to RSPB members, Ł5 charge for non-members). Follow marked ÔredŐ trail via Shipstal Beach, then take Dumbledore Trail to beech woods. Return to car park. Good harbour views and flat walking. Beware of tree roots through wooded sections of trail.

MAIDEN CASTLE, RIDGEWAY - ARCHAEOLOGICAL WALK

Meet at Maiden Castle CP. Walk via Ridgeway, passing the Iron Age Hill Fort & outer rampart across high open countryside with great views, and seeing several Bronze Age Barrows. Return via Martinstown. Not strenuous or difficult, gradual ups & downs. No toilets, suggest stop at Tesco just before the left turn to Maiden Castle. Option to walk around Maiden Castle after the walk.

STUDLAND PENINSULA AND BRANDS BAY

Park at Knoll Beach NT car park. Circular walk through Studland along the ridge overlooking Agglestone Rock towards Greenlands Farm. Over heathland to the shore where we stop for our break, then across to Brand's Bay crossing the Ferry Road and back to Knoll Beach. Option to shorten walk by catching return bus from Shell Bay and not continue along the beach.

Kingston to CORFE Circular

If anyone wishes to come by bus from Wareham direction please let leader know so that he waits for bus.

Meet at Houns Tout car park Kingston. Head to Corfe via Blashenwell Farm. Return via Corfe Common and Purbeck Way. No steep ascents or descents, 4 stiles and some muddy patches very likely on Purbeck Way. Great views over Corfe Castle on this walk. Optional drink in ScottŐs Arms following walk.

Minterne Magna & Cerne Abbas

Park and meet 10:15 at free CP on LHS of road, opposite church, in Minterne Magna. Walk via Telegraph Hill, Hillfield Hill, Gore Hill, Ball's Hill, Buckland Hill & Park Dale to Cerne Abbas. Then via Giant Hill and Little Minterne Hill back to Minterne. A mainly high level walk with excellent long distance views which In spite of the names is a surprisingly flat walk with two steady climbs.

Symondsbury, COLMERŐS HILL, HELL LANE, GOLDEN CAP.

Park & Meet in Symondsbury by St John The BaptistŐs church in ShuteŐs Lane or Mill Lane. 4 long or steep hills, several stiles. Walk via ColmerŐs Hill, Hell Lane (west bit, wet & muddy), North Chideock, Hardown Hill (lots Bluebells), St GabrielŐs Wood, coast path over Golden Cap to Seatown. Return via Chideock, & Hell Lane (east bit). Long day, allow 6 to 7 hours for the walk.
Note there are no toilets at start of walk, suggest stop at cafe / rest area where there are toilets on the Bridport Bypass at SY 451 921 - DT6 6AS.

Knitson to dancing ledge

Meet with parking available in our yard at Dairy Cottage for 10 cars. Walk to Wilkswood Farm after crossing A351. Up through Langton Matravers and on towards Dancing Ledge, for a break soon after Dancing Ledge. Head east along coastal path then inland to Putlake Farm. Back across Valley Road, and up Piggy Lane and Windmill Knap, to return to Knitson Farm. Gentle climbs and stiles. All welcome to come back for a cuppa and cake. Long hill up to Langton and back to Knitson, and stiles.
